Noroi was a big surprise of 2005. Noroi set a new standard for modern movie making. The acting is just perfect. It is a phenomenal, tense movie from the beginning to the end. Kôji Shiraishi once again delivered us great piece of true cinema. The acting is really unusual in a good meaning. Noroi has many original details and specifics that I really cannot get out of my head since watching it. Watch it and I'm sure you'll become a fan of Drama category movies too. The film follows Masafumi Kobayashi, a paranormal expert who produced a series of books and documentaries on supernatural activity around Japan as he explores seemingly unrelated paranormal incidents connected by the legend of an ancient demon called the "kagutaba."
