Lilting is one of the greatest movie directed by Hong Khaou. Lilting is a great lesson in movie making for all the newbie directors. It is not just "some" movie, it has an eternal message. Lilting has one of the highest ranks in IMDB top movies. Hong Khaou is the person responsible for making a lot of good work with brilliant writing and amazing cinematography. Artistry of actors are just magnificent, no one give bad performance. Lilting has strange energy that fills me every time I watch it. Lilting is definitely in my top 3 of Drama movies. You just have to see it.

The movie is about Richard’s story. He trying to connect Kai’s mother with the world after Kai’s death. Kai’s mother is a Cambodian Chinese who doesn’t know anything about English. Kai is the connection between Kai’s mother and the world without saying with her that he is a gay.
